Home › Glossary › What is stream sniping?
Stream sniping is using a broadcaster's own live feed to track their position or plans while playing against them.
Adding a broadcast delay removes the real-time advantage, at the cost of making chat interaction feel laggy. Many streamers enable it only for competitive sessions.
Concealing map, queue, or lobby details removes the usable signal while keeping the stream watchable.
Snipers frequently announce themselves in chat. Clear rules and fast timeouts stop it becoming a running disruption.
